With over 30 years of experience in the field of education, Dee Doherty has dedicated her career to making a difference in the lives of students. Her journey as an educator has spanned various roles, including primary school teacher, special needs coordinator, behaviour specialist for the esteemed Schools’ Support Team in Tower Hamlets, United Kingdom, resource teacher of learning and behaviour, and special education advisor in New Zealand.
Dee’s commitment to ongoing professional development led her to complete a master’s degree in educational psychology at Massey University in 2004, further enhancing her expertise in understanding and supporting students’ learning and well-being.
Currently serving as the Head of Literacy at Spotswood College in New Plymouth, New Zealand, Dee continues to play a pivotal role in shaping educational practices and ensuring that students have the necessary literacy skills for success. Her wealth of experience, combined with her passion for empowering students, makes her a valuable asset to the education community.
