Ian Bull is an experienced mathematics educator with a diverse range of teaching and leadership roles. With extensive experience teaching mathematics from Grade 6 to Year 12, he has worked in both state and private schools. For over a decade, Ian served as the head of mathematics at Melbourne High School and also held the position of director of gifted and talented education at the same institution.
Ian’s contributions to education extend beyond the classroom. He has been involved in VCE examination marking, participated in the development of sections of Naplan, and more recently, contributed to writing materials for the Australian National Curriculum. Ian is widely recognised for his publications in the field of mathematics, with his works being well-received in Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.
As an avid speaker, Ian has presented at various conferences focused on mathematics and gifted and talented education. He has shared his expertise at national and international forums, including events organized by the Australian Association of Mathematics Teachers, the Australian Association for the Education of Gifted and Talented, and the Asian Pacific Conference for Gifted and Talented Education in Sydney and Dubai.
