Readers' Theatre: Book 5

Playscripts to read aloud

Speak out with the Readers' Theatre series. This resource provides short playscripts for reading aloud, to develop students' reading and oral language skills. Many of the scripts are adaptions from well-known stories and include a narrator, a high degree of word and phrase repetition, a number of chorus group lines, plus individual lines. They are designed to inspire confidence and to offer appropriate challenges for primary school students. Guidelines on how to use each play are included.
