It covers three practical, classroom-ready frameworks for teaching word-level reading and spelling: decoding using grapheme-phoneme correspondence, encoding for spelling, and using morphemes to both read and spell unfamiliar words
Each framework follows a clear 1-2-3 process with worked examples. From simple CVC words through to multi-morpheme words like reconstruction and disappearing, these strategies are easy to model and apply across year levels.
