Developing Early Skills Outdoors Series

The Developing Early Skills Outdoors series aims to highlight the unique qualities of the outdoor learning environment for teaching basic skills and concepts in maths, literacy and science. Teaching in the early years is all about helping children lay secure foundations for a successful future. Children need to engage in active, social and physical learning experiences to find out about the world and form new ideas. It is through such early years experiences that children eventually become capable of logical, creative and critical thought.

Ages: 1-5 years
