Teaching Media Literacy through Contemporary Issues

With a focus on issues of immediate relevance to students’ own lives, Teaching Media Literacy through Contemporary Issues prompts them to explore who created a message and why, what techniques it uses and what points of view it includes or omits. In completing the activities, students will not only develop their analytical and critical thinking skills but also be better placed to form their own well-grounded opinions.
